Documentaries

We partner with local communities throughout Alabama to produce short-film documentaries that help protect and preserve the often untold African American narratives found in the area. Our focus is not on stories of victimization, but instead on the success stories of those who were civically engaged or made contributions to this country. We have the hopes of starting conversations, uplifting generations, and encouraging social advocacy. To share an idea or inquire about a documentary project, click below.

Why you want to work with HVP

A partnership with HVP means being a part of a movement to protect and preserve more of the untold success stories in African American history that will uplift generations.

Most people spend a majority of their time recycling the same handful of stories about African American history, hoping and wishing someone else would enlighten them with stories that are new and inspirational.

By partnering with us to produce a historical short-film documentary, you can be a part of the change that helps to create a global shift in consciousness of Americans who want to feel educated, motivated, and inspired from African American history.
